From Pamela Sharman, September 2012

My first memory of Wendy was at 13 months when in her high chair food had to be immediately spooned into her mouth or she screamed non stop. On our annual holiday to the Continental Hotel Mundesly, Judy had to wait outside the glass dining room door until I signalled that Wendy’s breakfast was ready! However, impatience was not to be part of her character. Wendy showed great diligence in all she tackled, learning Italian, German and Mandarin, photography, gardening and cooking. On holiday in Sardinia one year she showed incredible patience teaching me to windsurf !! I so enjoyed our trips to Stratford to stay with Steve and Wendy, and I think of Wendy each time I walk in our woodland walk in Norfolk, inspired by hers in Stratford.
