It was Wendy's birthday weekend (20th April) and a large group of the family visited her grave and the oak tree planted in her name. John brought wine and snacks and the children played, which was Wendy's wish. It was a happy occasion, as she would have wanted, but, as it was the first time Weenie and I had been there since the funeral, it was emotional, too. I'm glad I went but, of course, it was a strong reminder of how much she is missed. Christine Owen (May 2013)
